"This Business of Fighting" is based on the letters home of Anton Pritchard, Arnie Pritchard's father, from the front lines of World War II in Europe.  It is street-level history, portraying a young man struggling with his fear, his role as a leader, and his encounter with a world both wider and more brutal than he had ever known. 

Arnie Pritchard was trained as a historian, and got into storytelling as an avocation.  He has told stories at venues across Connecticut and elsewhere in New England.
