This 60 minute film tells the story of oystering along the southern New England coast: from the Native Americans and early European settlers to the boom times of the late 19th century and the collapse of the early 20th century, to today's rebound--and the people who are making it happen. The shortened version called "Oystering Haven" was shown on CT Public Television. Join us for the full version and speak directly to the filmmaker.
Steve Hamm is a freelance writer and documentary filmmaker based in New Haven. His most recent book is The Pivot: Addressing Global Problems Through Local Action.
