American ex-patriate artist, John Singer Sargent (1856-1925), spent most of his career abroad in Paris and London. Art historian, Joy Pepe, will focus on the lush and acclaimed portraiture for the upper echelons in those cities.

Art historian and curator, Joy M. Pepe, has been giving art history lectures for the public for over thirty years. Currently, she teaches art history at Central Connecticut State University and the University of Hartford.
