New Haven's original burial ground was the New Haven Green.  Grove Street Cemetery was established in 1797, established in National Registry of Historic Places in 1997, and is the resting place of many famous people.  The presentation will focus on some of its notable residents, accompanied by personal stories and photos of their stones as well as photos of the various trees lining the streets for which they are named.

Darlene Casella is a New Haven resident and has been a docent for 15 years.  She provides guided tours of the cemetery from April through November with a focus on its history, art and architecture of the cemetery and storytelling about many of its occupants.
