Welcome to Lit Lounge. This chill new book club is designed for adult readers of young adult (YA) literature. Each meeting we'll chat about a trendy YA genre/subgenre. Check out our "Recommended Read" or pick your own YA title from that month's genre.
This month we're reading fairytales/folklore! We recommend reading Bravely by Maggie Stiefvater. This first-of-its-kind YA novel gives us a sequel to Disney's 2012 movie, Brave. Merida loves her family's kingdom, but is growing tired of its monotony and sluggishness. When the god of stagnation threatens to destroy the kingdom (and everyone in it), Merida embarks on a series of adventures, desperate to bring life back into her family before they're all gone forever.
Open to adults 18+. Registration through the Library is required.
