Eighty years ago, Allied troops landed in Normandy, France, June 6th, 1944. D-Day, as it was known, got Allied troops ashore in Northwest Europe, to begin the drive on Germany. This June will mark the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings along the Normandy cost during World War II.
