Program Description

Event Details

Grief is a universal human experience, permeating our thoughts, words and actions in powerful and life-altering ways. When we experience grief in our own lives, how can writing poetry help us process, reflect, and honor those we’ve lost? Join Elizabeth Luoma, Poet Laureate of North Haven, and Elaine Nadal, Poet Laureate of Milford, to hear their personal journeys with grief and how they have processed them through poetry.

Attendees will then have the opportunity to write and explore grief in their own poetry in a supportive community. Both brand new and experienced writers are most welcome!
