Purpose of Meeting
The League of Women Voters of Hamden/North Haven is pleased to announce a debate between the candidates for the State Senate 34th District.
The debate will be on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at the North Haven Library Community Room, 17 Elm Street. The debate will begin promptly at 6 PM. Per the Fire Marshall’s Office, the audience will be limited to 65 people. Doors will open at 5:30 PM and seating will be available on a first come first serve basis.
The candidates participating in this debate are incumbent Paul Cicarella (R), Brandi Mandato (D) and David Bedell (Green Party). The Moderator will be Sally Buemi, a member of the League of Women Voters.
Interested citizens are encouraged to submit a question for consideration for this debate. Please submit your proposed question via email to sbuemi5@comcast.net. The League’s Questions Committee will determine the questions to be asked at the debate. The questions must be related to general state issues, and not earmarked for any individual candidate. The deadline to submit a proposed question via email is midnight on September 22, 2024.
