Taverns in early Connecticut were more than just a place to drink. Travelers and locals alike saw taverns as a place to be entertained, spread news and gossip, have a good meal, and get a night’s lodging. Learn about how taverns were an essential part of every Connecticut town.
Mya Concepcion is a Museum Educator at the Connecticut Museum of Culture and History. She develops and teaches educational programs for school and adult audiences. Mya has had experience in both education and museums in CT and holds a B.A. in Art and Art History from the University of Hartford.

Photography/Recordings
Per the North Haven Memorial Library's Program Policy, the library reserves the right to to photograph/record individuals and groups attending library services and programs. These photos and/or videos may be used for promotional purposes. Participants may request from a staff member that their image, or that of their child, not be used by the Library for these purposes.
